cities. The South Bend postal facility is equipped with state-of-the-art computerized sorting equipment, placing it among the most productive post
offices in the nation. This results in an overnight mail service that
is significantly larger than provided by non-regional distribution centers.
The local mail service and the abundance of transportation providers
has attracted several national and regional processing and fulfillment
centers across the South Bend/Mishawaka area. Expedited mail is sent from
the South Bend Regional
Airport directly to the appropriate national hub, allowing for reliable
overnight delivery.
